When we travel, we love unique properties that we can make our own whether we are there for a weekend or a month. Our favourite places speak to our desire to reflect, rebalance and reconnect to what we value during our time away. The essential ingredients for us have always featured private accommodations connected to interesting areas to eat, drink and play. We hope that Long Beach Villa in Baxter's Harbour, Nova Scotia becomes one of your favourite places, too.

In preparing Long Beach Villa for guests, we sought to provide a unique experience that emphasized these natural amenities of our area. We sought privacy, 180 degree views of the Bay of Fundy, being able to hear the sound of the waves hitting the shore from our decks, a walk to the Beach short enough to comfortably carry a picnic basket, and all within a 15 minute drive down to the Valley’s best restaurants and vineyards. We have elected to offer wireless internet service as an invitation to use this connection to Eat. Drink. Play. in our fabulous region.

One of our favourite things to do whether at home or travelling is to take “The Every Road Challenge”…the goal is very simply to venture down roads we have not been on and see what we have not yet seen.

In Nova Scotia, this is a challenge that seemingly never ends and led us to discover Baxter’s Harbour for the first time. Only 15 minutes from our Annapolis Valley home, we had literally never been here until last year. We knew we loved the fresh Bay of Fundy breezes that can cool off a summer day, we knew we loved walking the quiet rocky beaches and we knew we loved how the world’s highest tides made the low and high tide shorelines seem like two worlds in one day. And then, we drove into Baxter’s Harbour and fell in love with how this series of coves, beaches and water falls had our favourite natural "amenities".
